Welcome

The Carolyn Parr Nature Center is managed by the wonderful volunteers of the Napa Valley Naturalists. The Nature Center is named for Carolyn Parr, whose generous bequest provided for its establishment in 1981. The Nature Center and its affiliated museum are dedicated to helping people of all ages learn more about their local natural environment. The Center is open on weekends, Saturday and Sunday, from 1 pm to 4 pm. Admission is free.

The Carolyn Parr Nature Center sows the seeds to grow new defenders of the natural world. All its programs are free to members of the Nature Center, $5 for non-members. Group tours and school classes can be scheduled during the week by calling the Nature Center.

The Carolyn Parr Nature Center is an all-volunteer organization. DOCENTS staff the center on weekend afternoons and host weekday tour groups. ADMINISTRATIVE VOLUNTEERS support general operations. They construct displays, assist with publicity and fundraising, and perform minor maintenance tasks. The only requirements for volunteers are interest and enthusiasm. All necessary training is easily provided.
